2004 Freisa d'Asti DOC Vigna del Forno, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly green nose with dried mulberries and cranberries. Approachable on the palate, with delicately earthy berry fruit, quite appealing, but also has some vegetal notes, hint of bitter almonds in the background, fine-grained but slightly astringent tannins, attractive finish.
