2003 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "Vigna il Poggiale", Tuscany, Italy

Quite a cool nose with partly dried black berries and some plums, herbaceous as well as leathery notes, some smoky oak. Quite juicy, with dark fruit dominating, prominent plums, smoky and roasted oak. quite fine, slightly dusty tannins, licorice, well made, but difficult to re´cognise as a Chinati, fruit, dark chocolate and some mint on a good finish.
