The winery is close to the community Saint-Emilion
in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). An ancestor of the long-standing Reiffers family received the property from the Sun King at the beginning of the 18th century Louis XIV
(1638-1715) as a gift for the merits in various campaigns. Most recently, it was managed by Sophie Fourcade-Reiffers, who sold it to the Cuvalier family in 2013. At the beginning of the 2000s it was opened Organic viticulture
changed. The company was classified (after a degradation) in 2012 as a "Grand Cru Classé". The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards planted with Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). The long-lived red wine matures in 18% new barriques for up to 18 months.
