2001 Barolo DOCG Bricco Boschis, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly jammy nose with very ripe red berries and some cocktail cherries, sweetish spice. Juicy, ripe fruit in the mouth, prominent notes of licorice, some plum jam, light roasted notes, astringent tannins on the palate, sweetish spice in the background, not particularly deep, becomes more tart with aeration, attractive finish.
