2001 Bairrada DOC império Reserva, Beiras, Portugal

Mature nose with red and black berries, plums and some vegetal notes, smoky notes and some undergrowth. Cool, mature fruit on the palate, smoky oak, some astringent tannins, more delicate vegetal notes, medium substance, noticeable acid bite, not particularly deep, astringent but otherwise attractive finish.
