1989 Barolo DOCG Bricco Rocche, Piedmont, Italy

Firm nose, fairly cool, dark style, partly dried and preserved red berries and some plums, chestnuts, dried violets and some leather, wilted leaves, forest floor, some cedar wood and mineral notes. Firm again on the palate, very juicy, ripe berry fruit, hint of plums, very fine, fairly prominent tannins evenly distributed, very full-bodied with great depth, very persistent, some orange zest, mineral notes, forest floor, complex and yet does not seem to be fully developed yet, long finish.
