2014 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly leathery, tarry nose, touch of undergrowth, dried vegetal notes, red berries, hint of bacon and soup greens. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, touch of rosehip, smoky, toasted oak and a hint of bacon, firm tannins, noticeable acid bite, some wilted flowers, hint of mushrooms, peppery spice, cocoa, slightly sweetish and creamy, hint of cola nut, touch of sugar candy, not particularly deep, good to very good finish.
