The winery is located in the municipality Johannisberg (District of Geisenheim ) in the German growing area Rheingau, The company is owned by Guenter Schulz, Verena Schöttle is responsible as manager and cellar master. It started in 2000 with the first wine made from purchased Pinot Noir grapes. As a result, vineyards and fallow land were acquired and special methods were tried and developed in the vineyard and cellar in order to achieve the desired wine style.

In 2010 the company moved from the premises of the Schamari mill to a new plant in Johannisberg. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the often very steep individual layers hell (Johannisberg) Kläuserweg (Geisenheim) Mount Roseneck. Mount Rottland, Bischofsberg, Drachenstein and Klosterlay (Rüdesheim), Frankenthal and Höllenberg ( Assmannshausen ), Bodental-Steinberg, chapel hill. Crown. Schlossberg and Pfaffenwiesenstrasse (Lorch), as well Dachsberg (Angle).

You are 80% with Pinot Noir and 20% with Chardonnay planted. Environmentally friendly management takes place using organic fertilization With compost, By repeated Defoliation, quality-increasing yield reduction with rigorous thin out by halving the grapes and selective hand picking, only ripe and healthy grapes are obtained and processed. The red wines go through the maceration, ripen in at least 18 months after pressing the mash and become without filtration bottled. The white wines ferment in barriques and are stored for a long time and aged in barriques for 11 months. Around 30,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
