2014 Assmannshausen Höllenberg Pinot Noir trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Light herbaceous and elegant spicy notes on the nose, red and some black currants, light ethereal notes, moderate spicy oak, dried floral traces. Very firm on the palate, tart and polished, red and black fruit, herbs and spices, juniper and a hint of tobacco, persistent, quite elegant, prominent salty notes, very firm tannins, still slightly astringent, noticeable alcohol, some bite on a very good firm finish.
