Editor note: Light earthy and very light malted notes on the nose, light dried vegetal notes, red and black berries and some cherriesm floral traces, hint of tobacco. Partly preserved berry fruit on the palate, tart, dark, slightly smoky and toasted spicy oak. cocoa and some coffee grounds, fairly persistent, sweetish and creamy, fairly warm style, becomes fresher and develops some bite with aeration, slightly muted, salty notes and herbaceous traces on a good to very good finish.
Best to drink: Late 2018-2023+

The growing area is in the state of Hesse in Germany, The vineyards cover 3,211 hectares of vines starting at the lower main east of Wiesbaden and stretching around 50 kilometers along the right bank of the Rhine to Lorch north of Rüdesheim.
