2016 Assmannshausen Höllenberg Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Clear, lively nose, light floral traces, light nutty oak, ripe, partly preserved red and a few black berries, earthy and mineral traces, still has yeasty traces. Ripe, juicy, again predominantly red fruit on the palate, integrated tannins, elegant acid bite, spicy notes, salty mineral notes, hint of bacon, hint of mushrooms in the background, peppery traces, very good firm finish. Still needs some time to mature.
