2016 Lorch Schlossberg Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Firm nose, hint of bacon and tobacco, red and black berries, prominent mushrooms, moderate spicy oak, dried herbs and mineral notes. Firm, concentrated, juicy fruit on the palater, light toasted oak and some chocolate, coffee notes, pepper and Mediterranean herbs, integrated sandy tannins, persistent, has depth, full-bodied, still young, light salty mineral notes in the background, some grip, hint of bacon, clear contours, very good, long, firm, ripe, juicy, spicy, mineral finish.
