2011 Minervois AOC Grande Cuvée Belvèze, Languedoc, France

Firm, fleshy, somewhat toasty and iodine aroma of ripe, partly dried black berries with peppery and dried-vegetable notes and notes reminiscent of Provence herbs. Powerful in the mouth, ripe, juicy and quite concentrated fruit, partly pickled and dried seeming, some toasty wood, cocoa notes on the palate, burnt-nutty hints, fine sandy, predominantly friable tannin, some warmth, very good, juicy, toasty and chocolaty finish with liquorice notes
