The winery is north of Saint-Emilion in the same area (Bordeaux). A family Bon has been known since the 13th century. In the 14th century, Jacques Bon, called Le Cadet (the Younger), planted a vineyard called "La Butte du Cadet" on the northern slope of Saint Emilion. After a later owner, it was called Château Cadet-Pinaud-Bon for a while. Since 1986, it is owned by the Sociéte Loriene. After being downgraded in 2006, it was again classified as a "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards with the varieties Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The second wine is called Chateau "Vieux Moulin du Cadet".
