The estate is located north of Saint-Emilion in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). A Bon family has been known here since the 13th century. In the 14th century, Jacques Bon, called Le Cadet (the Younger), planted a vineyard called "La Butte du Cadet" (The Hill of Cadet) on the north slope of Saint Émilion. For a time it was called Château Cadet-Pinaud-Bon after a later owner. It has been owned by the Sociéte Loriene since 1986. After the degradation in 2006, it was again classified as "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines with the varieties Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Franc (15%). The second wine is called Chateau "Vieux Moulin du Cadet".
