The winery is north of the city Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) in the same area. From the early 1970s to 1982 vintage, it was divided into two branches of the Capdepourlin family, but is now reunited. It is headed by Jacques Capdepourlin. The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines, which are planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Malbec (3%). The extremely long-lived red wine is aged 24 months in one-third new barrels.
