The winery is located north of the city Saint-Emilion (Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. From the early 1970s to the 1982 vintage, it was divided into two branches of the Capdepourlin family, but is now reunited. It is headed by Jacques Capdepourlin. The establishment is classified as a "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards planted with Merlot (60%), Cabernet Franc (25%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Malbec (3%). The extremely long-lived red wine is aged for 24 months in one-third new barriques.
