The winery is located in the municipality of Courthézon on the southern Rhone, The origin dates back to the 17th century. It is already run by the fourth generation of the family Perrin. The brothers Jean-Pierre and Francois Perrin have rigorously joined the Organic viticulture prescribed. The vineyards cover 119 hectares of vineyards. Of 69 hectares will be according to an old family recipe Châteauneuf-du-Pape produced next to that from the Château Rayas one of the best of the appellation. Two of the secrets are the low yield with a maximum of 30 hl / ha and the high age of the vines with over 50 years. The mash is steamed to 80 ° C after de-steaming to promote tannin extraction (see also mash heating ).

All 13 approved varieties come in the red wine, the proportion of Mourvèdre with 30% is relatively high. The other mix is Grenache Noir (30%), Syrah (10%), Counoise (10%), Cinsaut, Muscardin and Vaccarèse (each 5%) and the remaining six varieties (5%). The fermentation takes place in traditional ashlar basins, there are none filtration, then the wine matures for two years in oak barrels. Also a white variant of 80% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc is produced. On 50 acres will be one Côtes du Rhône "Coudoulet de Beaucastel Rouge" from the Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsaut varieties and a "Coudoulet de Beaucastel Blanc" from Bourboulenc, Marsanne, Viognier and Clairette varieties. The company is a member of the renowned Family Winery Association PFV (Primum Familiae Vini).
