1953 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Smoky, roasted notes on the nose, some cocoa, floral notes, dried fruit and red fruit preserves. Quite full-bodied. lots of sweetish spice, cocoa, dried fruit, candied orange zest, quite firm structure, good persistence, gains in depth and complexity through aeration, good long finish.
