1996 Côtes du Marmandais AOC FC, South-west France, France

Mature nose, partly dried and preserved red berries, oak, with some wilted leaves and floral notes. Mature on the palate, too, with fine, slightly dry tannins, tart spicy notes, a touch of peppers in the background, fairly light-bodied style, not particularly deep, attractive finish.
