2013 Coteaux de l'Ardèche IGP Serre de Berty, Rhône, France

Fleshy scent of black and red berries with old-wood and slightly dried vegetal aromas, some leather and earthy tones. Ripe, partly preserved fruit with clearly sweetish-spicy aromas, slightly smoky wood, some bacon and dried red and black fruits, warm on the palate, crumbly, slightly grippy tannins, good sustainability and substance, smoky notes, in the background juniper and Provence- Herbs, good to very good, slightly compote-fruity, clearly spicy and again alcohol-warm finish.
