2007 Cahors AOC Malbec, Grand Vin Seigneur, South-west France, France

Tart, somewhat dried-vegetable and earthy aroma of black berries with herbal and peppery nuances. Quite juicy, again rather tart fruit, nutty, dried-vegetable to herbal and earthy notes, fine sandy, very slightly drying tannin, powerful and quite persistent on the palate, somewhat developed, a little cocoa and coffee in the background, spicy hints, good to very good, slightly warm finish

Best to drink: 2012-2017+.
Editor note: Slightly tart, youthful nose, cherries and mixed berries, earthy and herbaceous traces, hint of licorice. Fairly dark, juicy fruit on the palate, hint of chocolate and some more licorice, more herbaceous and earthy notes in the background, good persistence, youthful, fairly fine tannins ,has some depth, quite full-bodied, good finish.
