2006 Rivesaltes AOC "Le muté sur grain" Grenat, Roussillon, France

Tart cherries and red berries on the nose, vegetal notes, light smoky notes. Clearly sweet on the palate with some tart notes, red and some black fruit, roasted and smoky notes, slightly stalky green notes, fairly prominent, quite fine and slightly astringent tannins, a hint of varnish, quite well balalnced, attractive to good finish.
