The winery is located in the commune of Libourne Pomerol
(Bordeaux). It has been owned by the Lambert noble family since the late 15th century. Today it is run by Henri de Lambert's widow, supported by son Paul. The impressive château, located in a park, dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. The vineyards cover 48 hectares of vineyards, making it by far the largest winery in Pomerol. They are planted with the varieties Merlot (70%), Cabernet Franc (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). The long-lived red wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in one-third new barriques. The second wine is called "Château Chantalouette"
