2015 Saumur-Champigny AOC Cabernet Franc, Loire, France

Tart, somewhat dried-vegetable, earthy and old woody aroma of black berries and a little sour cherry with acidic herbal notes. Ripe, somewhat melting fruit with nutty and chocolaty hints, also still slightly yeasty, fine sandy, crumbly tannin, some bite, tobacco and earthy nuances, a touch of bacon, also pepper and dried herbs, good persistence, salty mineral hints, some power and warmth, very good finish with dark juice and cocoa again. Needs to mature a little more
