2003 Blayais (Blaye) AOC L'atribut des Tourtes, Bordeaux, France

Extremely ripe, partly dried black berries and plums, dark roasted and smoky as well as delicate malted notes. Concentrated and fairly juicy, fairly prominent but well integrated smoky, roasted oak with chocolate notes, quite full-bodied, compact, soft on the palate, very creamy, not particularly deep, juicy fruit and chocolate on the finish.
