The estate is located in the municipality of Vire-sur-Lot in the area Cahors in the region Southwest France, It was founded in 1958 by Charles Verhaeghe with then one hectare of vines. Today it is run by his sons Jean-Marc and Pascal Verhaeghe. The vineyards cover 27 hectares of vines, which are planted with the red varieties Malbec, here also called Auxerrois or Côt (90%), Merlot and Tannat, and the white varieties Viognier, Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc. The Cahors luxury version "Le Cèdre" is being expanded in new barriques. The red wines are partly using micro-oxygenation prepares. In 2000, with a partner, the winery "Domaine Marcevol" with 12 hectares of vineyards in the area Côtes du Roussillon accepted.
