2001 Margaux AOC 3éme Cru Classé, Bordeaux, France

Some coffee and sweet roasted aromas on the nose, cake spices, cassis and ripe black cherries. Clean and juicy in the mouth, dark fruit and elegant tart but harmonious tannins, lots of dark chocolate on the palate, compact and at the same time elegant, quite deep and persistent, good long finish. Needs time to mature.
