Editor note: Firm nose, blackberries and cassis, some red berries, hint of tobacco, mineral notes, some undergrowth, cedary traces, some smoke, herbs, leaves and wilted flowers, a hint of pepper and some well-hung beef. Firm and compact on the palate, juicy, herbs and spices, undergrowth and some licorice, cedary notes, prominent mineral notes, elegant acid bite, very fine, fairly mature tannins, plums and juniper in the background, good depth and persistence, still quite qouthful, quite juicy on a long finish.
