The estate (also Château les Grandes Murailles) is located on the northern edge of Saint-Emilion
(Bordeaux) in the area of the same name. It had been owned by the Reiffers family since the mid-19th century. Most recently, it was managed by Sophie Fourcade-Reiffers, who sold it to the Cuvalier family in 2013. It is classified as a "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover almost two hectares of vineyards with 100% Merlot. The one on the (also sold to Cuvalier) Château Cote de Baleau
Vinified, long-lived red wine matures in 100% new barriques for up to 20 months.
