1970 Saint-Emillion AOC Premier Grand Cru Classé B, Bordeaux, France

Noticeably mature nose, complex, elegant spice, partly dried red berries, some plums and dried tomatoes, hint of black pepper, some juniper, herbs, truffels and aubergines, prominent mineral notes. Very clear on the palate, elegant and juicy, supple, again noticeably mature, but still perfectly lively, slightly creamy, sweetish, nutty spicy notes, elegant herbaceous notes, mineral notes, very persistent on the palate, deep and incredibly elegant, perfect silky tannins, delicate acidity, some tobacco in the background, refreshing, the finish really coats the throat and palate, intense and bewitching, powerful finish lasts for several minutes. Initially appears quite fragile, but becomes firmer with aeration, the finish simply bowls you over.
