2014 Haut-Médoc AOC, Bordeaux, France

Firm, somewhat meaty-animalic and cedary scent of ripe black berries with dried-vegetable to tobacco, mushroom and earthy notes. Firmly knit, tart dark fruit, some toasty and clearly bitter-chocolatey wood, present tannin, a hint of liquorice in the background, still completely undeveloped, but gains noticeably with air, dried-vegetable to tobacco and salty nuances, quite powerful, has bite, some depth, very good, tight, tart finish. Definitely needs time.
