2005 Canon-Fronsac AOC, Bordeaux, France

Partly preserved mixed berries and some plums and dried cherries on the nose, light malted notes, light nutty oak. Clear, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, light acid bite, more fairly prominent oak, candied nutty notes, very full-bodied, good persistence, slightly astringent tannins, has some depth, earthy notes, slightly jammy and astringent on an otherwise very good finish.

Editor note: Blackcurrants and blueberries on the nose, light vegetal notes, some bell peppers in the background, sweetish oak. Quite juicy on the palate, some more sweetish spicy oak, quite fine tannins, medium body, good persistence, still quite youthful, well balanced, good finish.
