2001 Pauillac AOC 5éme Cru Classé, Bordeaux, France

Concentrated nose, ripe black berries, cherry preserves and sweet spices, cool mineral notes. Elegantly juicy fruit, cherries and berries, tannins slightly sandy and astringent, with good presence, oak more noticeable than on the nose, roasted notes and chocolate on the palate, elegant acidity, firm structure and a little rustic, quite good persistence, quite powerful, good finish. Tart style, needs time to mature.
