Château Faurie-de-Souchard be confused. Faurie is an ancient name of the area where a great battle took place during the Hundred Years War (1337-1453). It used to be part of the neighboring one
Château Soutard from which it was separated in 1850. Until 1936 the estate belonged to the Corbière family and was sold this year to the couple Aberlen. Their daughter Françoise married in 1964 Jacques Capdemourlin, owner of
Château Balestard La Tonnelle.

Château Roudier, The farm is classified as "Grand Cru Classé", which was last confirmed in 2012. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards with Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). The long-lived red wine matures for 15 to 18 months in 50% new oak barrels.
