2014 Bordeaux Supérieur AOC, Bordeaux, France

Slightly cedary and tobacco-like nose, ripe blackcurrants and elderberry, earthy notes, vegetal and some fleshy notes, hint of pickled red pepper. Dark, partly preserved fruit in the mouth, nutty and chocolatey aromas, fine sandy, mostly mature, partly also slightly astringent tannins, good persistence, has some fat and a little warming alcohol, tonka beans and cocoa in the background, not too deep, good to very good finish.
