1989 Haut-Médoc AOC Cru Bourgeois, Bordeaux, France

Inviting nose, ripe black berries and plums, light roasted and spicy notes in the background, some mineral notes and a hint of chestnuts. Firm and juicy on the palate, loads of ripe fruit, full-bodied and firm, has substance, elegant spicy oak, some cigar box, fairly prominent, very fine tannins, persistent, good depth and perfect balance, mineral notes, elegant spice and lots of ripe fruit on a long finish.
