Chateau St Jacques d’Albas
Winery Wines

2011 Minervois AOC Le Château d'Albas, Languedoc, France

Somewhat dried-vegetable and woody aroma of cooked dark berries and cherries with nutty, herbal and earthy tones. Relatively compote fruit in the mouth, chocolaty-nutty wood, a little sandy-drying tannin, cloves in the background, some persistence, a lot of power and warmth, goes easily into the width, could be a little finer, a trace open, not eternally deep, good to very good finish.
