Wine Review Report :

Last reviewed: 30 November 2006
Named after the historic city of Vayres, the appellation is located in the north of the large area Entre-deux-Mers (Bordeaux). It has nothing to do with the area Graves to do. The area covers 600 hectares of vineyards on gravelly and sandy soil on the left bank of the Dordogne, It applies to dry and sweet white wines from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle and Merlot Blanc, as well as for dry red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
