The winery is located in the municipality of St. Justina in the heart of St. Magdalena near Bolzano in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol
(Region Trentino-Alto Adige
). The traditional Ansitz dates from the 12th century and was in possession of a monastery. It was acquired by the grandfather of the present owner Christian Plattner. In its own small wine museum you can visit old equipment. The vineyards cover six hectares of vines, which are planted to 85% with the red varieties Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosenmuskateller, and to 15% with the white wine Sauvignon Blanc.
