2005 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva, Alto Adige, Italy

Prominent black berries and some red berries on the nose, herbaceous notes, some mint and chocolate, smoky and roasted notes. Quite juicy on the palate, ripe fruit and sweetish spicy oak, also some prominent smoky notes, medium-fine tannins, only slightly astringent, hint of smoked meat, good substance, very creamy, not particularly deep, more vegetal notes on a good finish.
