2007 St. Magdalener / Santa Maddalena DOC Classico, Alto Adige, Italy

Ripe, partly dried and preserved red berries and a hint of plums on the nose, spicy almonds and a tough of tobacco. Quite firm on the palate, ripe red fruit and some cassis, nutty notes and tobacco, light hint of oak, fine tannins, good persistence, full-bodied, good finish.

Editor note: Cool, fairly firm nose, red berries, herbaceous traces. Very clear, slightly jammy red fruit on the palate, sweetish roasted notes, touch of vanilla, fine sandy tannins, mineral traces, good persistence, attractive to good finish.
