2008 Carnuntum Ried Haidacker Zweigelt trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Editor note: Fairly restrained but also quite intense nose, slightly spicy berry fruit, light roasted notes and some chocolate. Also still fairly closed on the palate, delicate spicy oak and some chocolate, nutty notes, warm preserved and marinated berry fruit, touch of plums and dark cherries, slightly furry tannins, nicely integrated alcohol, full-bodied and has some substance, needs some time to develop, has potential, very slightly astringent on a good to very good finish.
