2011 Anjou AOC Cuvée Violette, Loire, France

Cool and tart scent of cassis and cherries with clear paprika notes, floral nuances, a little licorice and yeasty, earthy and a little nutty-woody flavors. Clear, juicy and polished fruit on the palate, still very young and undeveloped, yeasty, candied and nutty, spicy oak, firm tannins, firm, fine sandy tannins, full-bodied, creamy and persistent, hint of tobacco and licorice, herbs and cool herbs in the background mineral notes, lots of power, slightly alcoholic on the one hand, but also has cool elements, very good finish.
