2015 Anjou AOC Cuvée Violette, Loire, France

Slightly roasted, fleshy, slightly cedar nose, ripe blackcurrants, some cherries and paprika, peppery notes, some dried flowers and herbaceous traces. Clear, polished, tart, juicy fruit, fairly cool style, nutty and slightly vegetal notes, reminiscent of paprika, a hint of cocoa in the background, delicate acid bite and youthful, very fine tannins, certain depth, very good, again polished, bewitchingly cool - juicy finish with salty mineral notes and a little sweet chestnut.
