2015 Anjou AOC Cabernet Franc, Loire, France

Cool and firm nose, prominent peppery nose and hint of blackcurrant, some red berries and cherries, herbaceous notes and dried, ripe red pepper. Clear, polished, straightforward fruit, tart and juicy with a lot of acid bite and very fine, youthful, but still mature tannins, good persistence, earthy to salty notes, a touch of mushrooms and dried plums, has polished, very good, tart, slightly nutty and tobacco finish with peppery nuances, bite and cool juice.

Best to drink: Mitte 2018 bis 2022+. What our ratings mean
