1969 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Intense tobacco nose, some smoke, leather, berry preserves and plums, a touch of cedar wood. Clean, ripe fruit in the mouth, delicately spicy, notes of dried flowers, cocoa and a hint of sugar candy, fine tannins, noticeable alcohol, leather and some cedar wood on the palate, good finish.
