2003 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Tuscany, Italy

Partly dried red and black berries on the nose, touch of candied plums, light herbaceous notes, sweetish roasted notes. Very slightly cooked fruit on the palate, some oak and vegetal notes, fine sandy but slightly astringent tannins, evenly distributed, good persistence, some depth, very full-bodied, slightly rustic style, quite astringent on the finish.
