2004 Rosso di Montalcino DOC Banditella, Tuscany, Italy

Subdued, fairly austere nose, berries, oak, chocolate and cocoa. Noticeable oak on the palate, too, but quite judiciously used, sweetish notes, some preserved berry fruit, oak makes the wine approachable, adds a chocolate note, integrated, fairly polished tannins, attractive finsih.
