2013 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva "Poggio al Vento", Tuscany, Italy

Dry-floral, earthy, somewhat animal and nutty scent of black and red berries with slightly undergrowth notes and tobacco, as well as some dried vegetal tones. Rather firm, tart red and black fruit, nutty, tobacco and slightly toasty tones, a little coffee and dark chocolate, some bite, ripe tannin, persistent and strong on the palate, salt in the background, still young, some depth, undergrowth and traces of tobacco, very good, firm finish with mushy and herbal notes and a hint of soya.
