2014 Spätburgunder Réserve trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Tart, nutty, earthy and slightly greasy fragrance with relatively dark berry tones as well as dried vegetal, mushroomy notes reminiscent of soup herbs. Tart, fairly firm fruit with smoky and somewhat sooty oak, prominent acidity, sandy tannins, fairly persistent, earthy and vegetal notes, a little bacon and mushrooms, slightly noticeable alcohol, a hint of salt, spicy notes, good to very good, a little bitter finish.
