2001 Rosso Conero DOC Pigmento, Marches, Italy

Quite a complex, spicy nose with preserved cherries and mixyed berries, herbaceous and mineral notes, roasted oak in the background. Quite concentrated and full-bodied, lots of ripe fruit and some smoky oak, harmonious tannins, more herbaceous notes on the palate, light mineral traces, very good persistence, medium depth, juicy, long finish with a touch of mocha and some spicy oak.
